A Love Other Than Yours Episode 6 continues immediately after the shocking kiss between Lee Mi-do and Han Tae-seung, placing the ten-year relationship between Mi-do and Namgung Ho under its most serious pressure yet. Mi-do is overwhelmed by guilt after what happened on the night of the first snow. Although she desperately wants to return to her ordinary life with Ho, she knows that hiding the truth has created a secret capable of destroying the trust they have built over a decade. Namgung Ho, meanwhile, is dealing with another crisis connected to his mother, Choi Hwa-young. Her private-loan debt begins to affect Ho's everyday life and threatens to spill over into his professional world. Having spent years trying to protect himself and Mi-do from the consequences of his mother's choices, Ho finds himself once again forced to confront problems he thought he had left behind. The pressure makes his normally stable and practical personality increasingly strained. At the same time, Ho continues to encourage Mi-do's dream of becoming a film director. Unlike Tae-seung, who understands that Mi-do has become exhausted by the expectations surrounding filmmaking and marriage, Ho sincerely wants her to continue pursuing the career she once loved. His support is not simply romantic encouragement: he is willing to make personal sacrifices to ensure that financial difficulties do not force Mi-do to abandon her dream. The contrast between Ho and Tae-seung becomes increasingly important as Mi-do struggles to decide what kind of future she actually wants. Mi-do's guilt becomes impossible for her to hide. Whenever she looks at Ho, she is reminded of the kiss and becomes emotional. Ho notices that something about her has changed, but he initially believes her tears are connected to the pressure surrounding her career and their complicated family circumstances. Their conversations therefore become filled with half-truths, as Mi-do desperately tries to protect Ho from a reality she knows would hurt him. The episode also develops the story of Park Soo-ah and her connection to Ho. Their relationship is tied to an earlier period of Ho's life, and the memories surrounding their first meeting gradually reveal why Soo-ah has remained emotionally important to him. As Soo-ah faces problems of her own, Ho once again finds himself trying to protect someone who needs help. Their growing closeness creates another source of uncertainty at a time when Ho and Mi-do's relationship is already becoming increasingly fragile. Mi-do's professional situation also becomes more complicated. She wants another chance to direct and is unwilling to completely abandon the film career she has spent years trying to build. Tae-seung offers to help her regain control of her career, but his methods are far more aggressive than Ho's. Rather than encouraging Mi-do to solve her problems honestly, Tae-seung is prepared to use secrets, pressure and leverage against the people standing in her way. Mi-do becomes increasingly uncomfortable with how far he is willing to go on her behalf. The first-snow memories running through the episode provide an emotional contrast to the present-day crisis. Ho and Mi-do once imagined the first snow as something romantic that they would experience together, but the night instead became the moment when Mi-do crossed an emotional boundary with Tae-seung. The memory therefore becomes a painful symbol of how differently the two partners are now experiencing the same relationship. The situation finally reaches a breaking point when Mi-do remembers that she had left a recording running during the confrontation with Tae-seung. She rushes home after realizing that the recording may contain evidence of what actually happened that night. However, she arrives too late to prevent Ho from hearing it. Ho listens to the recording and hears the conversation between Mi-do and Tae-seung. Then the sound of their kiss becomes unmistakable. Mi-do desperately tries to stop him from hearing the rest by closing the laptop, but the damage has already been done. Ho looks at her with an expression Mi-do has never seen from him before: wounded, shocked and completely cold. The episode ends with the truth finally destroying the protective silence between them. Ho has spent ten years believing that Mi-do was the person who understood and stood beside him through every difficult period of his life. Discovering that she hid the kiss with Tae-seung makes him question not only what happened on that night but also how much of their recent relationship has been based on things they never told each other. Episode 6 therefore transforms the central conflict of A Love Other Than Yours. What began as a story about a long-term couple whose love had become routine now becomes a story about whether trust can survive once the secrets hidden beneath that routine are exposed. Mi-do must confront the consequences of her decision, Ho must decide whether he can believe her explanation, and Tae-seung's involvement threatens to push their relationship even further apart.
