Bloodhounds Season 2 Episode 7 begins with the situation at its lowest point. So-yeon has been kidnapped by Kang In-beom, Gang-yong is fighting for his life after suffering a brain hemorrhage, Gwang-mu is seriously injured, and Baek-jeong has escaped from police custody. Gun-woo and Woo-jin are left devastated after failing to protect So-yeon, but they refuse to surrender. At the hospital, Min-beom learns that Gang-yong has undergone emergency surgery and remains in critical condition. The situation forces Min-beom to accept that ordinary police methods may not be enough to stop Baek-jeong. He meets NIS black-operations agent Choi Sin-hyeong and Seul-gi to discuss a plan that could finally draw Baek-jeong out of hiding. Sin-hyeong proposes using Gun-woo as bait. Baek-jeong is obsessed with defeating Gun-woo and has already demonstrated that he will do anything to force him into the ring. If they offer Baek-jeong an enormous winner-takes-all prize and the chance to fight Gun-woo, Sin-hyeong believes his greed and pride will bring him out of hiding. Min-beom agrees to the plan. The proposed prize is enormous, and the winner will receive the entire amount. More importantly, the fight can be used as a way to negotiate So-yeon's release. Gun-woo is informed about the plan and agrees to fight Baek-jeong if it gives them a chance to rescue his mother. Meanwhile, Du-yeong unexpectedly returns. After appearing to have been killed during the events of the previous season, Du-yeong has actually survived and spent the last four years working as a Bloodhound. Moon Gwang-mu contacts him and tells him that Gun-woo and Woo-jin desperately need help. Du-yeong immediately agrees to return and assist them. Du-yeong's return gives Gun-woo and Woo-jin a much-needed boost. He brings a completely different skill set to the group. Unlike Gun-woo and Woo-jin, who rely primarily on boxing, Du-yeong is experienced at tracking criminals, extracting information, and operating inside the Bloodhound network. Du-yeong begins by visiting Dr. Moon, the doctor connected to Baek-jeong's escape operation. He forces Dr. Moon to reveal information about Baek-jeong's movements and obtains the phone numbers used by Lee Man-bae. The information gives the group a direct way to contact the people holding So-yeon. Using the number obtained from Dr. Moon, Min-beom contacts Man-bae and proposes the final fight. He offers an enormous amount of money in exchange for Baek-jeong agreeing to fight Gun-woo and release So-yeon. Man-bae initially refuses, but the amount of money is too tempting to ignore. Baek-jeong becomes furious when he hears the terms. He threatens to kill So-yeon rather than negotiate with Gun-woo, but Man-bae reminds him that So-yeon is valuable because she is the leverage that brought Gun-woo into the deal. Killing her would destroy their strongest bargaining chip. The final agreement is made: Gun-woo and Woo-jin will fight Baek-jeong and In-beom in a two-on-two match. If Gun-woo and Woo-jin win, So-yeon will be released. If Baek-jeong and In-beom win, they will receive the enormous prize money and be able to leave the country with their criminal operation intact. Tae-yeong works behind the scenes to protect the plan. She hacks into Min-beom's phone and monitors communications between the criminals. The group knows that Baek-jeong's organization will try to cheat if given the opportunity, so they need constant information about the enemy's movements. Gun-woo and Woo-jin then search for someone who can teach them how to defeat Baek-jeong. They locate the veteran boxing coach who originally trained Baek-jeong. The coach explains that Baek-jeong's greatest advantage is his ability to fight comfortably with both hands. He can switch his stance and attack from unexpected angles, making him extremely difficult to read. The coach teaches Gun-woo and Woo-jin how to exploit Baek-jeong's movement and ambidextrous fighting style. The training is exhausting, especially because both men are already injured. Nevertheless, they continue training because they know that losing the fight could mean losing So-yeon forever. Woo-jin eventually develops a dangerous strategy. Instead of allowing Gun-woo to fight Baek-jeong immediately, Woo-jin will face Baek-jeong first. His goal is not necessarily to win but to weaken Baek-jeong and force him to spend energy before Gun-woo takes over. At the same time, Gun-woo will fight In-beom, who is physically powerful but less technically skilled than Baek-jeong. The plan begins on the day of the final fight. Du-yeong and the other Bloodhounds infiltrate the building where So-yeon is believed to be held. They begin silently eliminating the guards and fighters protecting the location. Inside the arena, Baek-jeong enters expecting to fight Gun-woo. Instead, Woo-jin steps into the ring. Baek-jeong is furious when he realizes that Gun-woo has deliberately changed the matchup. Woo-jin immediately provokes him, telling him that Gun-woo is waiting for him and that Baek-jeong will have to get through him first. The fight between Woo-jin and Baek-jeong becomes brutally violent. Baek-jeong attacks with both hands and repeatedly targets Woo-jin's injured wrists. Woo-jin is badly hurt but refuses to fall. He absorbs the punishment and continues fighting, determined to weaken Baek-jeong for Gun-woo. Woo-jin eventually manages to land a critical strike to Baek-jeong's eye. The injury slows Baek-jeong down and proves that the strategy is working. Woo-jin has suffered enormous damage, but he has accomplished his goal: Baek-jeong is now injured and exhausted. At the same time, Gun-woo enters the ring against Kang In-beom. In-beom uses his enormous strength to overwhelm Gun-woo in the early stages. Gun-woo is forced to absorb heavy blows while looking for openings. Gun-woo gradually begins using the techniques taught by Baek-jeong's former coach. He changes his movement and attacks In-beom from unexpected angles. The fight becomes increasingly brutal, but Gun-woo refuses to allow his anger to control him. Eventually Gun-woo lands a devastating sequence that knocks In-beom unconscious. To make sure In-beom cannot return to the fight, Gun-woo breaks his wrist. The decision is painful but necessary because In-beom has repeatedly attempted to kill the people Gun-woo loves. Baek-jeong, despite his injured eye and exhausted body, refuses to accept defeat. He returns to the ring and demands to fight Gun-woo himself. The final battle between the two boxers finally begins. Gun-woo remembers everything he learned during training. Instead of trying to overpower Baek-jeong immediately, he studies his movement and waits for the openings created by the injury to his eye. Baek-jeong continues attacking with both hands, but his speed and accuracy have been reduced by Woo-jin's earlier assault. Gun-woo begins taking control of the fight. Baek-jeong becomes increasingly desperate and attempts to turn the match into a brutal street fight rather than a boxing contest. Gun-woo remains focused and refuses to lose control. Meanwhile, Du-yeong continues clearing the building where So-yeon is being held. He fights through numerous Bloodhounds and eventually reaches the room where he believes So-yeon is located. But instead of finding her, he discovers a decoy. The criminals deliberately moved her to another building to prevent anyone from rescuing her during the fight. Du-yeong immediately contacts Woo-jeong and gives him the information. He tells him that So-yeon is being held in a nearby building and that Lee Man-bae is guarding her personally. Woo-jeong rushes to the second building with armed police officers. He enters the room and finds Man-bae holding So-yeon hostage. Man-bae attempts to use her as a shield, but Woo-jeong has no choice but to shoot him when he refuses to release her. Man-bae is killed instantly, and So-yeon is finally freed. Woo-jeong takes her outside while the police move toward the arena to stop the illegal fight. Inside the ring, Gun-woo finally lands the decisive blow. Baek-jeong collapses and loses consciousness. Gun-woo has defeated the man who spent the entire season trying to destroy him and his family. Police backup arrives at the arena and arrests Baek-jeong. Gun-woo is exhausted and injured, but he knows the fight is finally over. Outside, So-yeon reunites with Gun-woo and Woo-jin, creating an emotional moment after everything the family has endured. However, the story does not end there. Min-beom is worried that Baek-jeong will escape through the legal system again. He secretly arranges for Sin-hyeong and the NIS team to intercept Baek-jeong before he can reach the police station. The NIS agents take Baek-jeong away and later send Min-beom a photograph that appears to show Baek-jeong dead with a gunshot wound to the head. Min-beom believes that Baek-jeong has finally been eliminated, and the group can return home believing the threat is over. Back at home, Gun-woo and Woo-jin reunite with So-yeon. Although they have won, the experience has left them deeply affected. Gun-woo still fears that another criminal could one day target his family, and Woo-jin understands that their boxing careers may never be completely separate from the dangerous world of Bloodhounds. The two friends decide to continue training. Gun-woo tells Woo-jin that they should become stronger so they can protect themselves and the people they love if another Bloodhound ever comes after them. Their final training session represents their decision to move forward rather than allow Baek-jeong's violence to define their lives. The episode then reveals the shocking truth behind Baek-jeong's supposed death. Sin-hyeong meets Baek-jeong in secret, revealing that the NIS staged his death. Baek-jeong is still alive and has been given a choice: cooperate with the intelligence service or face a real death. Sin-hyeong tells Baek-jeong about a powerful international criminal named Paichit Chaichana, who is preparing to bring an enormous shipment of methamphetamine into South Korea. The operation is worth hundreds of billions of won and could become a major national security threat. Baek-jeong realizes that cooperating with the NIS may be his only chance to survive. Sin-hyeong offers him a deal: help the government reach Paichit Chaichana, and they will allow him to remain alive as an undercover asset. Baek-jeong accepts the deal. The final scene completely changes the meaning of Baek-jeong's apparent death. He is no longer simply the villain Gun-woo defeated in the ring. He has become an unwilling or reluctant Bloodhound working for the NIS against an even larger international criminal network.
