Bloodhounds1 Episode 4 opens with President Choi making a late-night call to Du-yeong, setting an important plan into motion. Meanwhile, the danger surrounding Gun-woo and the people close to him is escalating. Jun-min, one of the men working within Myeong-gil's organisation, spots Gun-woo in the subway and immediately recognises him. Realising that Gun-woo's mother is an easy way to hurt him, Jun-min sends Jae-myeong and his men to Gun-woo's home with orders to kidnap her. At the same time, Gun-woo and Woo-jin find themselves surrounded by a group of Myeong-gil's men. The attackers come prepared with baseball bats and attempt to overwhelm the two boxers through sheer numbers. Gun-woo and Woo-jin refuse to back down. They split the attackers apart and use their boxing experience and close teamwork to fight them without weapons. Even when the men begin beating them with bats, the two friends continue protecting each other rather than trying to escape individually. The fight becomes especially dangerous when Gun-woo is pinned against a wall and repeatedly attacked. Woo-jin immediately rushes to his friend's aid, putting himself in danger to pull Gun-woo away from the attackers. Moments later, Woo-jin is surrounded and Gun-woo returns the favour, showing how deeply the two young men have come to trust each other. Their friendship is no longer simply based on boxing — they instinctively risk themselves to keep the other alive. Cha Hyeon-ju soon arrives with her taser and joins the fight. Working together, the three manage to defeat the remaining attackers and escape before more of Myeong-gil's men can arrive. Their victory, however, comes at a serious cost. They now know that Myeong-gil's organisation is actively hunting them and that the people around them can be targeted at any moment. Meanwhile, Jae-myeong and his men break into Gun-woo's house while his mother, Yoon So-yeon, is asleep. They violently attack and restrain her before attempting to use her as leverage against Gun-woo. But an unexpected rescuer appears. Hwang Yang-jung arrives and takes on Jae-myeong and his men, overwhelming them with his extraordinary fighting ability. His intervention saves Gun-woo's mother from being taken and reveals that President Choi has more powerful and experienced people protecting his side than Gun-woo and Woo-jin initially realised. After the attack, So-yeon manages to contact Gun-woo and explains what happened. President Choi becomes extremely concerned about the situation. When the group returns, he angrily confronts Hyeon-ju for putting herself in danger. Although Hyeon-ju is determined to help, President Choi sees her as family and fears that Myeong-gil's growing aggression could cost her life. His reaction shows the protective relationship between them and makes clear that this fight has become personal for everyone involved. President Choi then begins preparing his own operation against Myeong-gil. Rather than continuing to react to every attack, he decides that they need to take the initiative and strike at Myeong-gil's financial operation. The group prepares to seize money and valuable assets connected to the criminal network, hoping to weaken Myeong-gil while gathering the resources needed for their larger plan. Gun-woo, Woo-jin and Hyeon-ju become involved in the operation. They arrive at the library and begin securing the money and other valuables. The operation initially appears to be going according to plan. They locate a large amount of cash as well as gold bars stored inside a safe. Woo-jin wants Gun-woo to stay in the car while he and Hyeon-ju finish moving the valuables, knowing that Gun-woo's vehicle is already being loaded with cash. But Myeong-gil's men are already closing in. Jang-do contacts Myeong-gil and reports that Beom is missing and that the situation has gone wrong. Instead of ordering his men to retreat, Myeong-gil demands that they finish the job and bring him the money along with the heads of the three young people who interfered with his operation. Outside the library, several vehicles packed with Myeong-gil's men arrive and block the group's escape route. Hyeon-ju quickly realises that they are surrounded. She contacts Gun-woo and tells him to follow her vehicle. She identifies another exit and attempts to lead everyone away before the attackers can completely close the trap. The escape quickly turns into a high-speed chase. Gun-woo's car is weighed down by the huge amount of cash, making it difficult for him to accelerate. Hyeon-ju instructs him to remain alert and wait for her signal. Jang-do pursues them aggressively, eventually crashing into Hyeon-ju's vehicle. Hyeon-ju fights back and manages to force him away long enough for the group to continue escaping. The chase reaches a tunnel, where the situation becomes even more dangerous. Hyeon-ju's vehicle begins experiencing problems while the attackers continue pursuing them. Jang-do manages to continue the pursuit, forcing Hyeon-ju and the two boxers into another desperate confrontation. Even while inside the moving vehicles, Hyeon-ju fights the attackers and manages to turn the tables on them. As the episode approaches its climax, Gun-woo, Woo-jin and Hyeon-ju are left trying to escape with the remaining cash and gold bars while Myeong-gil's men continue closing in. Their operation has succeeded in obtaining valuable assets, but they have also exposed themselves directly to Myeong-gil's retaliation. Episode 4 ends with the group still trapped in a dangerous pursuit, carrying the money and gold while trying to survive the attack. The episode transforms President Choi's plan from a calculated financial operation into a frantic fight for survival. Gun-woo and Woo-jin's brotherhood is tested once again, while Hyeon-ju proves that she can fight alongside them when the situation becomes desperate. Myeong-gil's organisation is now fully committed to eliminating them, setting up an even more dangerous confrontation in the next episode.
