📖 Episode Synopsis

My Bias My Boss Episode 10 begins with Han Jeong-yeon arriving at APPELLO as the CEO of HAN. Kang Ha-gi is visibly shocked to see his former classmate and first love standing in front of him as the person who will decide the future of the company's most important business opportunity. Jeong-yeon explains that she was impressed by APPELLO's proposal and has shortlisted APPELLO and SE:ON for HAN's next stage. Instead of simply choosing between their existing proposals, she gives both companies the same assignment: define exactly who HAN's customer is. Ha-gi is uncomfortable with the situation because Jeong-yeon's return combines his personal past with a crucial professional negotiation. Jeong-yeon reminds him that they once dated for several months during high school before she left Korea to study abroad. Ha-gi admits that their breakup and sudden departure were painful at the time, especially because Lee Chan's decision to become a trainee was connected to the complicated situation surrounding the three of them. Da-reum soon learns that Jeong-yeon was not merely an old school friend. She was Ha-gi's first love. The revelation immediately makes Da-reum uneasy, even though Ha-gi insists that their relationship ended long ago. His friends tease him about seeing his first love again, while Da-reum tries to convince herself that there is nothing to worry about. Ha-gi has to cancel a dinner he planned with Da-reum because Jeong-yeon asks for an important business meeting. Da-reum tells him she understands because the HAN deal is extremely important to APPELLO, but she is clearly disappointed. Her friends later try to make the evening less awkward by having dinner together, and Ha-gi eventually arrives late. During the dinner, Da-reum's friends openly tease her about Jeong-yeon being Ha-gi's first love. They insist that Da-reum should not be intimidated by someone from Ha-gi's past and remind her that Ha-gi chose her. Their jokes temporarily make Da-reum feel better, but her insecurity remains underneath the surface. Ha-gi later explains to Da-reum that his meeting with Jeong-yeon was strictly about APPELLO's business. Jeong-yeon has proposed an important partnership, and Ha-gi cannot yet reveal every detail because the negotiation is confidential. He promises Da-reum that he will not lie to her and asks her to trust him. He also tells her directly that she is the woman he likes now. Behind Ha-gi's back, however, Jeong-yeon's feelings are far less professional. She speaks with Lee Chan and admits that Ha-gi barely reacted when they reunited. Although she initially approached him because Chan encouraged her to go after her first love, Jeong-yeon now realizes that she genuinely wants Ha-gi back. She decides that she will push harder and see whether she can win him away from Da-reum. HAN's next step creates a new opportunity for Da-reum. Jeong-yeon asks for a dedicated point person from APPELLO to work directly with HAN. She specifically chooses Da-reum because she was impressed by the proposal and believes Da-reum understands HAN's brand identity. Da-reum accepts the responsibility after discussing it with Ha-gi. She understands that working directly with Jeong-yeon could be uncomfortable, but she also sees the assignment as a major professional opportunity. Ha-gi supports her decision and reminds her that she should continue developing her own career rather than allowing his personal history with Jeong-yeon to influence her choices. Meanwhile, Lee Chan and his former D.N.X members face a completely different problem. Jinu and Teo's computers are hacked, and the stolen files include unreleased songs and videos connected to a possible D.N.X comeback. Chan is called in by the police because some of the hacked material also involves him. Chan discovers that Jinu and Teo had secretly been paying the hacker to prevent the unreleased D.N.X material from being exposed. He is angry that they kept the situation from him, but their actions also reveal how badly they still want D.N.X to return. The group may have officially ended years ago, but for Jinu and Teo, the dream of performing together again has never disappeared. Chan confronts them about continuing to hold onto D.N.X while he has moved forward with his acting career. He tells them that they need to live their own lives and stop carrying the past as though they owe the group their entire futures. They respond that D.N.X is still everything to them, leaving Chan conflicted about whether he has abandoned something important by choosing his own career. Later, Chan admits that he has continued writing songs for D.N.X fans even though he lacks the courage to walk away from his acting opportunity. He knows that a major movie could transform his career, but part of him still wants to create music with his former group. Da-reum encourages him to follow his heart and choose the path that will make him happiest rather than simply following the safest practical option. At APPELLO, Da-reum works closely with Jeong-yeon on the HAN assignment. Jeong-yeon takes her around different potential locations and asks her to identify the type of customer who would naturally be drawn to HAN. Da-reum initially suggests several fashionable locations, but she soon realizes that simply choosing a luxury shopping district does not capture HAN's identity. Da-reum studies HAN's Paris flagship and notices that it is located away from the obvious luxury-shopping streets. Instead, it sits in an area filled with independent bookstores, vintage shops and distinctive cafés. She concludes that HAN's customers are not simply wealthy people looking for expensive products. They are people with a strong sense of personal style who want to discover something unique and choose items that reflect their individual identity. Her insight impresses Jeong-yeon. She agrees that HAN customers want exclusivity, but Da-reum adds a more personal interpretation: HAN's ideal customer wants to walk around, browse slowly and choose something that speaks to their own taste. Jeong-yeon recognizes that Da-reum has understood the emotional identity behind the brand rather than merely analyzing its sales figures. During their work together, Jeong-yeon opens up about her own history. She reveals that her first fashion brand failed after her business partner betrayed her and a major corporation took control of everything they had built. She had to start again with almost nothing, eventually creating HAN as a brand that depended entirely on her own instincts and strengths. Jeong-yeon's story makes Da-reum think about her own professional journey. She admits that she is still learning at APPELLO but feels that she is gradually discovering what she is capable of. Jeong-yeon then asks directly whether her history with Ha-gi bothers Da-reum. Da-reum does not lie. She admits that it does bother her, but she also says that she trusts the person she is with. Her answer shows that although Jeong-yeon's presence makes her insecure, she does not want to judge Ha-gi based solely on his past. Ha-gi continues investigating the suspicious similarities between APPELLO and SE:ON's proposals. He realizes that their ideas are becoming far too similar to be coincidence and tells Choi Seong-wook that there must still be a mole inside APPELLO. Seong-wook worries that Ha-gi may be becoming overly suspicious, but Ha-gi insists that the repeated similarities are too significant to ignore. Jeong-yeon also notices the similarities between the two companies' strategies. She tells Ha-gi that she did not come to HAN simply to sign with SE. She came with another purpose: revenge. Her own past experience with corporate betrayal has made her determined to expose and defeat the people who previously took advantage of her. Jeong-yeon offers Ha-gi a partnership of sorts. She wants to get her revenge while Ha-gi finds the person leaking information from APPELLO. If they cooperate, both sides could benefit. Ha-gi agrees to consider the proposal, although he remains cautious about mixing business with his complicated history with Jeong-yeon. Meanwhile, Da-reum and Ha-gi finally get some private time together. Ha-gi arranges a romantic day for her, complete with a picnic, food and a plan to watch the sunset by the lake. Da-reum notices that he has gone to unusual lengths to make their time together special. Ha-gi admits that he wanted to do things properly because they have not been able to spend much time together recently. He also knows that Jeong-yeon's return has made Da-reum uneasy. Da-reum reassures him that she trusts him and says that this trust is the reason she agreed to work on the HAN account. The peaceful afternoon gives them a brief escape from the tension surrounding the company. Da-reum tells Ha-gi that she simply enjoys being with him and does not need elaborate gestures to prove their relationship. Ha-gi is visibly relieved that she continues to trust him despite everything happening around them. At the same time, Chan meets his former D.N.X members again. The old group practices together, briefly recreating the energy they had when they were younger. Chan admits that he misses those days, but he still struggles with the decision between his acting career and the possibility of returning to music. The situation becomes more serious when former D.N.X member Roy is revealed to be hiding from the public after private photographs involving his same-sex partner are leaked. The scandal reminds Chan of how destructive the entertainment industry can be and how easily the lives of idols can be destroyed by public judgment. Chan begins questioning whether returning to D.N.X is worth the risks his former members would face. Later, a D.N.X fan named Seul-ah recognizes Roy while he is working as a delivery rider. She tells him that she knows who he is and explains that she became a delivery rider partly because she wanted to find him. She tells Roy that she has never been ashamed of him and does not want him to spend the rest of his life hiding beneath his helmet. Seul-ah's words affect Chan when he hears about the incident. He realizes that there are still fans who care about D.N.X as people rather than simply as celebrities. The discovery makes his decision about the group's future even more difficult. Back at HAN, Da-reum continues working on the customer-profile assignment. Jeong-yeon takes her to Ikseon-dong, explaining that the neighborhood's independent shops and distinctive atmosphere make it a strong match for HAN's customer. Da-reum's analysis impresses Jeong-yeon enough that she begins trusting her with increasingly important responsibilities. Jeong-yeon also reveals more about why she built HAN. Her first company failed because she relied too heavily on her partner's instincts. Starting HAN taught her to trust her own abilities and build something that reflected her personal identity. Her story inspires Da-reum, who realizes that she too needs to discover what she can contribute independently rather than defining herself through the people she loves. As the workday ends, Da-reum tries calling Ha-gi to tell him how well the assignment went. He does not answer. She becomes frustrated because she knows he is still meeting with Jeong-yeon and cannot help wondering whether their history is becoming more important than he admits. Ha-gi, meanwhile, meets Jeong-yeon again at her hotel. Their conversation remains focused on their shared past and the HAN partnership, but Da-reum does not know what they are discussing. From her perspective, Ha-gi has simply disappeared after promising to communicate honestly with her. When Ha-gi finally leaves Jeong-yeon's hotel, Da-reum arrives unexpectedly. She has come because she missed him and wanted to see him. Instead, she sees him coming out of Jeong-yeon's hotel after spending time with her. Da-reum is devastated. She asks Ha-gi whether he has been with Jeong-yeon all this time and why he never told her. Ha-gi tries to explain that the meeting was related to the HAN business deal, but Da-reum cannot immediately accept the explanation because she had already been struggling with jealousy and insecurity. She tells Ha-gi that she is his girlfriend, yet she feels as though she has become a stranger because he keeps important parts of his life from her. Ha-gi apologizes and promises to explain, but Da-reum admits that she cannot pretend she is fine. The conflict becomes their first major fight as a couple. Ha-gi realizes that simply telling Da-reum to trust him is not enough. He has to understand why his secrecy and his history with Jeong-yeon have made her feel excluded from his life. Meanwhile, the APPELLO team receives the final customer-profiling presentation deck. Ha-gi had deliberately shown an incomplete version earlier because he suspected that someone was leaking their information. The final version is completely different from what was previously circulated, allowing APPELLO to determine whether SE:ON somehow obtains the updated proposal. The strategy confirms Ha-gi's suspicions about the mole. APPELLO's internal security concerns become even more serious when the new presentation appears to be copied almost word for word by SE:ON. The company now has stronger evidence that someone is leaking their confidential material. While Ha-gi is dealing with the professional crisis, Da-reum remains emotionally distant from him. Her colleagues notice the tension and wonder whether this is the couple's first serious argument. Ha-gi even fails to come into work the following day, something extremely unusual for a CEO known for never missing work. Lee Chan notices that Da-reum is upset and comes to check on her. He tells her that he has finished a new song and wants her to hear it because her advice helped him break through a creative block. Da-reum appreciates the gesture, but Chan can tell that something is wrong. Chan decides that he cannot keep hiding his feelings from Da-reum. He prepares to be honest with her about what he wants and why he continues to care about her. His timing becomes important because Da-reum is already questioning her relationship with Ha-gi. Episode 10 ends with the romantic and professional conflicts colliding. Da-reum is hurt by seeing Ha-gi leave Jeong-yeon's hotel, while Ha-gi is absent from work and struggling to repair the trust between them. At the same time, APPELLO has uncovered stronger evidence of a corporate leak, and Lee Chan is preparing to reveal more of what he feels. The episode closes with the promise of an even more difficult confrontation ahead. Da-reum has finally built a relationship she genuinely wants, but Jeong-yeon's return has exposed how fragile their trust still is. Ha-gi's past, APPELLO's corporate mystery and Chan's unresolved feelings are now moving toward the same collision point.
