Our Universe Episode 3 takes Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin's strange new family arrangement to the next level. After the events of the previous episode, Tae-hyung realises that simply helping with Woo-joo from time to time is not going to work. Hyun-jin is about to start her new job at BS Food, while Woo-joo needs someone around him throughout the day. Tae-hyung therefore makes an unexpected proposal: he will move in and help raise Woo-joo for exactly one month. Hyun-jin is immediately uncomfortable with the idea. They are in-laws who barely get along, and now she is being asked to share a home with him. But with work waiting and no reliable childcare solution, she has little choice but to consider his offer. Tae-hyung treats the arrangement as a practical deal rather than anything emotional. He makes it clear that he is only staying temporarily and wants his own space. Hyun-jin, meanwhile, insists that the arrangement will end once she is settled into her new job. After negotiating the rules, the two finally agree to try living together for a month so they can take care of Woo-joo properly. What neither of them realises is how quickly an ordinary childcare arrangement can start feeling like a real family routine. Hyun-jin begins her first days at BS Food and discovers that getting her dream job does not mean life suddenly becomes easy. The workload is demanding, and she has to balance her responsibilities at the company with everything waiting for her at home. Tae-hyung becomes the person who fills the gap while she is away. He takes on more responsibility for Woo-joo than he originally intended, and the toddler's attachment to him only grows stronger. Their everyday routine becomes a mixture of rushed mornings, meals, bath time and the kind of small arguments that happen when two people with completely different personalities are forced to raise a child together. Tae-hyung also has to deal with his own professional situation. He wants to continue working as a photographer, but his new responsibilities make it difficult to simply disappear for a job whenever he wants. He tries to arrange time away from work while making sure Woo-joo is looked after. His boss is not particularly sympathetic, forcing Tae-hyung to find another way to balance photography with his new role as an unofficial guardian. At home, another problem appears when the boiler stops working. Hyun-jin and Tae-hyung initially assume it is something the landlord should handle, but their attempts to contact the property owner go nowhere. The broken heating quickly becomes a serious problem, especially with Woo-joo in the house. Hyun-jin worries about the cost of fixing it and does not want to create another financial burden. Tae-hyung quietly takes responsibility instead. Rather than making a big deal about it, he uses money he earned from a photography job to get the boiler repaired, showing a more considerate side of himself that Hyun-jin does not usually see. The stressful day eventually gives the two of them a rare opportunity to relax. They share drinks and talk more openly than usual. Hyun-jin admits that she used to enjoy rainy days, even though they can now bring back difficult feelings. Tae-hyung listens without making fun of her or turning the conversation into another argument. For once, they are not fighting about Woo-joo, money or household rules. They are simply two exhausted adults talking about their lives. Their growing comfort with each other is interrupted by another major development in Hyun-jin's new workplace. Park Yun-seong, a team leader at BS Food, turns out to be someone from Hyun-jin's past. He was her first love during college, and their unexpected reunion after years apart immediately brings back feelings and memories that Hyun-jin would rather keep buried. Yun-seong appears confident and successful, making their reunion even more complicated now that he is her superior at work. Hyun-jin does not want Yun-seong to know that she is living with Tae-hyung, especially because their situation is already unusual enough to invite questions. Tae-hyung, meanwhile, has no idea that the man Hyun-jin has just met again is someone who once meant a great deal to her. The arrival of Yun-seong quietly introduces a new tension into the household even before Tae-hyung fully understands what is happening. Back at home, Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin continue settling into their strange co-parenting routine. Their constant bickering is still there, but there are now moments when they instinctively work together without thinking about it. Woo-joo has become the center of their little household, and both adults are beginning to realise that taking care of him together is changing the way they see each other. By the end of the episode, an innocent night turns into an unexpectedly awkward situation. After drinking and falling asleep, Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin wake up in the same bed. Neither of them knows how they ended up there, and both are shocked by the situation. The two immediately become flustered, suddenly conscious of each other's presence in a way they were not before. What began as a one-month practical arrangement is starting to blur into something much more personal. Episode 3 marks the real beginning of Tae-hyung and Hyun-jin's secret cohabitation. They are still insisting that their relationship is purely about Woo-joo, but their growing comfort with each other — combined with Yun-seong's return to Hyun-jin's life — makes it increasingly difficult to keep their emotions completely out of the equation.
