Episode 73 of The Nightfall (Bir Gece Masalı) continues the events of the 25th Turkish episode after Mahir survives Selim's attack. Although Mahir is still recovering from the gunshot wound, he refuses to allow Selim to remain free. Once his condition improves, he becomes determined to find the man who shot him and bring him to justice. Canfeza is relieved that Mahir has survived, but his decision to immediately return to the hunt for Selim frightens her. She has already experienced the terror of nearly losing her husband twice, first when he was buried alive and then when Selim shot him at the iftar. Canfeza tries to make Mahir understand that she does not want revenge to consume their new life together. Canfeza supports Mahir's desire for justice but remains terrified that another confrontation could put his life in danger. Meanwhile, the long-running conflict surrounding Kürşat and Gülizar reaches another important stage. Despite the objections of the Yılmaz family, Kürşat and Gülizar remain determined to marry. Away from the wedding conflict, Süreyya's mental and emotional condition deteriorates. She remains convinced that the promise she made to her deceased husband in the hospital must be fulfilled. In her mind, Mahir's recovery has given her the opportunity to keep that promise, and she begins believing that she must go to her husband's side in Denizli. Süreyya does not tell Mahir or the rest of the family what she intends to do. Instead, she writes a farewell letter and quietly leaves. Her disappearance is especially dangerous because nobody understands how fragile her emotional state has become. Süreyya begins traveling toward Denizli, believing that she is going to reunite with her late husband. During her journey she encounters a couple who appear to be offering her help. She does not realize that they have their own criminal intentions and accepts their offer of a ride. Meanwhile, Mahir eventually realizes that his mother is missing. The family searches for Süreyya, but her farewell letter makes the situation even more frightening. Mahir understands that she has left deliberately and worries that she may be planning something irreversible. The search becomes increasingly urgent as Mahir tries to trace his mother's movements while still dealing with the danger posed by Selim. His attention is divided between finding Süreyya and continuing the investigation against the man who nearly killed him. Episode 73 closes with the family deeply worried about Süreyya's disappearance while Mahir searches for his mother. At the same time, Gülizar has been abducted to prevent her marriage to Kürşat, and Mahir's pursuit of Selim continues.
