📖 Episode Synopsis

Filing for Love Episode 11 begins immediately after Park A-jeong appears at Haemu Group's shareholders' meeting as a witness for Jeon Sung-yeol. The room falls silent as A-jeong prepares to reveal information about Joo In-ah and Jeon Jae-yeol. Her testimony focuses on the suspicious financial relationship between Haemu Pharmaceuticals and the J Medical Foundation, a case that In-ah previously investigated but ultimately chose not to pursue as a full-scale audit. A-jeong claims that when Jae-yeol was serving as the representative of Haemu Pharmaceuticals, he authorized billions of won in financial support for the J Medical Foundation. She alleges that In-ah, who was responsible for auditing the matter, deliberately buried the investigation because of her personal relationship with Jae-yeol. The accusation immediately creates a conflict of interest: even if In-ah's original decision was professionally justified, the revelation that she and Jae-yeol were former lovers makes it much easier for Sung-yeol to portray her judgment as biased. In-ah does not deny that she stopped the audit. Instead, she explains that she examined the transactions and found no conclusive evidence that Jae-yeol had personally committed an illegal act. She also feared that launching an incomplete investigation could be manipulated by Haemu's rival factions and used as a weapon in the company's succession battle. Her decision was therefore based on the potential consequences of the investigation rather than on a desire to protect Jae-yeol personally. Sung-yeol refuses to accept her explanation. He argues that the relationship between In-ah and Jae-yeol makes it impossible to believe that she acted objectively. He uses A-jeong's testimony to turn what had previously been an internal audit issue into a major corporate scandal. The shareholders' meeting quickly becomes chaotic. Executives begin questioning whether In-ah can continue serving as head of the Audit Office. Some argue that her previous relationship with Jae-yeol represents an obvious conflict of interest, while others point out that her audit record contains no proof that she personally benefited from protecting him. Noh Ki-jun immediately realizes that the situation is being manipulated. He knows that In-ah's investigation was much more complicated than A-jeong's testimony suggests. He also knows that In-ah has repeatedly chosen the harder path when dealing with corporate misconduct, even when doing so made her look cruel or unreasonable. Ki-jun tries to defend her, but Sung-yeol turns the accusation against him as well. Because Ki-jun is now openly dating In-ah, Sung-yeol claims that the two auditors are working together to hide evidence and protect Jae-yeol. The possibility that Ki-jun could also be investigated becomes a serious threat. The scandal soon leaves the company and reaches the media. Reporters begin publishing stories about In-ah's alleged relationship with Jae-yeol, the J Medical Foundation donations, and the Audit Office's decision to stop the investigation. The reports deliberately combine several separate facts to create the impression that In-ah and Jae-yeol were involved in an ongoing secret relationship and that Ki-jun helped conceal it. In-ah's private life becomes public entertainment. Details about her relationship with Jae-yeol, her family background, and even her work as an art model begin appearing in malicious online reports. Employees and outsiders who know nothing about her circumstances start judging her based on rumors. Ki-jun becomes increasingly furious. He cannot stand watching In-ah's life being reduced to sensational headlines. When he discovers that reporter Park Dae-geun is repeatedly publishing articles that distort the facts, he goes directly to confront him. Ki-jun tells the reporter that In-ah is not the person being portrayed in the articles. He insists that he knows her better than anyone and that she is one of the most principled people he has ever worked with. The reporter responds by suggesting that Ki-jun is simply defending his girlfriend because he is emotionally involved with her. The argument escalates. Ki-jun loses his temper and strikes the reporter. The confrontation becomes physical, leaving Ki-jun injured and eventually bringing him to a police station. His face is covered in wounds, but he remains angry because he believes the media is deliberately destroying In-ah's reputation. When In-ah learns what happened, she rushes to the police station. She is shocked to see Ki-jun battered and bloodied. Despite his injuries, he tries to act casually and jokes with her to prevent her from becoming even more worried. In-ah tends to his wounds while trying to hide how frightened she is. Ki-jun tells her that he could not simply stand by while people lied about her. He admits that he knows fighting the reporter was reckless, but he cannot regret defending her. The moment becomes deeply emotional. In-ah finally tells Ki-jun that she loves him. She realizes that he has become the person she most wants to protect, even though her instinct throughout her life has been to protect herself and handle everything alone. However, the corporate investigation is moving faster than their personal relationship. A special investigation committee is formed to examine the J Medical Foundation matter and determine whether In-ah improperly stopped the original audit. Sung-yeol uses his influence to ensure that the investigation remains focused on In-ah rather than on the larger political structure behind the foundation. Ki-jun attempts to defend himself by explaining that he was the employee who originally handled the pharmaceutical documents and that In-ah's decision was based on information available at the time. He considers claiming responsibility for part of the investigation so that In-ah will not be punished alone. In-ah refuses to allow this. She tells Ki-jun that he must not interfere with the investigation on her behalf. She has already seen how quickly his actions can be twisted into evidence of collusion, and she does not want him to sacrifice his career for her. The two nevertheless continue working together in secret. Their relationship has now become a source of strength rather than a weakness. They communicate carefully and exchange information without allowing the investigation committee to realize how closely they are coordinating. When the committee questions In-ah about the J Medical Foundation, she finally makes a difficult decision. Rather than blaming Ki-jun or trying to manipulate the evidence, she accepts responsibility for stopping the audit. She explains that she made the decision herself and that Ki-jun was simply an employee who raised legitimate questions about the case. In-ah also admits the most damaging part of the truth: she stopped the audit because she believed that Jae-yeol was not personally responsible for an illegal transaction and because she feared the investigation would be exploited by the company's internal political factions. She knows that this explanation may not save her career, but she refuses to lie about her reasoning. The committee decides that In-ah must be removed from her position as head of the Audit Office. Instead of firing her completely, Haemu transfers her to the company's logistics center. The decision is presented as a disciplinary reassignment, effectively removing her from the center of corporate power. Audit Team 3 is devastated. The employees believe that In-ah has been punished unfairly and that the company is using her as a scapegoat to protect more powerful executives. They want to protest the decision, but In-ah tells them not to destroy their own careers because of her. Before leaving the Audit Office, In-ah speaks privately with Ki-jun. She knows that the transfer will separate them professionally and that the media will continue following them. She tells him that from now on, whenever she says something that sounds cold or distant, he should understand that she is trying to protect him. She then gives him an emotional confession: he is the unexpected variable in her life that she never planned for. She had spent years building a life based on control, discipline, and self-protection. Ki-jun was the one thing she never calculated, and yet becoming close to him has made her happier than anything she deliberately planned. In-ah leaves for the logistics center while Ki-jun remains behind at Haemu. The two are forced to maintain a secret relationship because openly meeting could create additional problems for both of them. At the logistics center, In-ah immediately notices several irregularities. The facility is suffering from repeated equipment failures, missing inventory, and unexplained delays. Employees are frustrated, but senior management dismisses the problems as ordinary operational issues. In-ah quickly realizes that the problems are too systematic to be accidental. She begins quietly examining inventory records and maintenance reports. Several shipments contain defective components that should never have passed inspection. The deeper she investigates, the more suspicious the situation becomes. She discovers that defective parts are being deliberately introduced into the logistics center's supply chain. The resulting failures are creating massive operational losses and damaging the value of HM Trans, the logistics subsidiary connected to Haemu. In-ah realizes that the logistics crisis may be part of Sung-yeol's larger plan. If HM Trans becomes financially unstable, its value will fall. Sung-yeol could then push for a cheap acquisition or restructuring, allowing his faction to gain control over the company while blaming the losses on the existing management. She begins collecting evidence quietly rather than immediately reporting the problem. She knows that the Audit Office has effectively become a political tool, so any report she makes through normal channels could be intercepted or destroyed. Back at Haemu, Ki-jun also realizes that something is wrong. The Audit Office has been stripped of much of its independence, and members of Team 3 are being reassigned or pressured to resign. Ki-jun refuses to leave the department even though he has opportunities to return to a more prestigious position. Instead, he begins secretly assisting In-ah from Seoul. He uses his remaining access to audit records to compare the logistics center's inventory data with older reports. The numbers show that the defective parts began appearing shortly after Sung-yeol gained greater influence over the company. Ki-jun and In-ah communicate through carefully concealed messages. They cannot openly meet because they know that their opponents are watching them. Their relationship therefore becomes a strange mixture of longing and teamwork, with both of them missing each other while simultaneously building a case against Sung-yeol. Jae-yeol also realizes that Sung-yeol is using the corporate scandal as part of a much larger plan. Although Jae-yeol and Ki-jun have competed over In-ah, they now understand that protecting Haemu requires them to put their personal rivalry aside. Jae-yeol begins examining the company's financial structure and notices suspicious decisions involving the logistics center. He recognizes that Sung-yeol is deliberately weakening parts of the company so that he can eventually acquire them at a reduced value. The three sides of the investigation begin converging. In-ah gathers evidence at the logistics center, Ki-jun works from inside the Audit Office, and Jae-yeol uses his position within Haemu to examine the corporate decisions that allowed the scheme to happen. Meanwhile, the remaining members of Audit Team 3 refuse to abandon In-ah. Although the team is officially dissolved as part of the restructuring, the employees continue exchanging information and supporting one another. They know that the investigation into workplace misconduct was one of the few departments willing to challenge powerful executives regardless of their status. Sung-yeol begins restructuring Haemu aggressively. Employees are laid off, departments are merged, and executives who supported Jae-yeol are gradually removed. The company becomes increasingly tense as workers realize that Sung-yeol's victory could completely change Haemu's culture. In-ah watches the restructuring from the logistics center and becomes convinced that the defective-parts scheme is only the beginning. She discovers that the same supplier is connected to several other subsidiaries and that the financial trail leads back toward people working directly for Sung-yeol. Ki-jun receives the information and warns her not to confront the people involved alone. In-ah tells him that she is not alone anymore because he is helping her. Ki-jun responds that he intends to stay by her side regardless of what happens to their careers. Their private conversation gives them both renewed determination. Even though they are separated by the corporate investigation, they continue treating each other as partners rather than victims of the scandal. The episode reaches its climax when Ki-jun discovers that a previous investigation he handled in Audit Team 1 is connected to the logistics center. The same pattern of suspicious procurement and manipulated contracts appeared in an earlier case, but the evidence was never pursued because the case was considered unrelated to the company's senior executives. Ki-jun realizes that the earlier investigation may contain the missing evidence needed to prove Sung-yeol's scheme. He begins retrieving the old files, despite knowing that doing so could violate the restrictions placed on the reorganized Audit Office. At the same time, In-ah discovers a hidden shipment containing defective components that were deliberately mixed with legitimate inventory. She photographs the evidence and sends it to Ki-jun before anyone can remove it. Ki-jun recognizes the importance of the evidence immediately. The old audit case, the logistics-center defects, and the suspicious acquisition plan are all connected. But before he can finish reviewing the documents, security personnel arrive and accuse him of accessing restricted information. Ki-jun is forced to leave the office, but he manages to preserve copies of the key evidence. In-ah receives word that Ki-jun has been confronted and worries that the company may be preparing to arrest him or dismiss him. She considers returning to Seoul, but Ki-jun tells her to stay at the logistics center and continue gathering evidence. The two agree that they cannot afford to expose their plan prematurely. If Sung-yeol realizes that they have discovered the logistics scheme, he could destroy the evidence before they can present it. The final scenes show In-ah standing inside the logistics center at night, surrounded by stacks of suspicious inventory. She realizes that the disciplinary transfer that was intended to silence her has accidentally placed her exactly where she needs to be to uncover Sung-yeol's next move. Ki-jun meanwhile looks through the old Audit Team 1 files and finds the missing connection he has been searching for. The previous investigation contains a name that links the suspicious supplier directly to the people behind the logistics-center sabotage. The episode ends with Ki-jun and In-ah silently working from opposite sides of Haemu, both knowing that the battle has changed completely. Their relationship is no longer simply a secret office romance. They are now partners in a dangerous corporate investigation, with Jae-yeol gradually joining their side and Sung-yeol preparing to take complete control of Haemu Group. Episode 11 is therefore the bridge between the personal scandal and the final corporate battle. A-jeong's accusations expose In-ah and Jae-yeol's past, while Ki-jun's determination to defend In-ah results in his confrontation with the media. In-ah ultimately sacrifices her position to protect Ki-jun and takes responsibility for the J Medical Foundation decision. Her transfer to the logistics center appears to be a punishment, but she quickly discovers that the center is the key to uncovering Sung-yeol's plan. With Audit Team 3 dismantled and Haemu undergoing mass restructuring, In-ah, Ki-jun, and Jae-yeol begin secretly preparing the counterattack that will drive the final episode.
