Filing for Love Episode 6 begins immediately after Joo In-ah takes a drunk Noh Ki-jun home and discovers that he lives with his former girlfriend, Park A-jeong. Ki-jun becomes embarrassed and confused, while In-ah quietly watches the interaction. The misunderstanding creates an awkward love triangle even though A-jeong and Ki-jun have already moved on from their previous relationship. At the Audit Office, In-ah asks Ki-jun to look into the consequences of firing Do Min-woo after the previous audit case. PK is a major star whose image is closely tied to Haemu's products and advertising campaigns. The situation becomes serious when photographs emerge showing him secretly meeting a woman in a car. The woman is not publicly identified, and rumors immediately begin spreading that PK is having an affair. A stalker who has been following the model takes photographs of the meeting and attempts to sell or distribute them. PK notices the photographer and follows him, desperate to recover the evidence. In-ah later joins Ki-jun at the office to help him finish the mountain of documents. Ki-jun attempts to explain his relationship with A-jeong, but In-ah stops him and says that his private life is none of her business. Ki-jun challenges her by asking why she keeps pushing him away whenever they become emotionally close. He also questions whether there is another man in her life. In-ah insists that her private life is her own concern. Ki-jun responds that it matters if the man involved is someone he should be worried about. Their conversation becomes increasingly personal before In-ah redirects the discussion back toward the audit case. At first, the confession seems to solve the mystery. Ji-won appears to be the woman photographed with PK, and the company can now explain the scandal as an affair between two consenting adults. However, Ki-jun and In-ah soon notice that something does not fit. Ji-won is married and has three young sons, yet there is no obvious reason why she would risk her family and career for PK. Ji-won really did meet PK, but she was not his secret romantic partner. PK was actually having an affair with Hyun-young, the wife of Jeon Jae-yeol and an heiress of the Sesan Group. Because Hyun-young's identity would create a much bigger corporate and family scandal, she and the people around her pressured Ji-won to take responsibility and pretend that she was the woman involved with PK. Ji-won is devastated by the situation. She has spent years building her career and maintaining her family, only to be forced into a fake affair scandal to protect a powerful executive's wife. She feels humiliated that all of her hard work can suddenly be reduced to gossip about a celebrity relationship. In-ah refuses to abandon Ji-won. She meets her away from the office while Ji-won is taking her sons to play soccer. In-ah joins the children and gradually earns Ji-won's trust. Rather than interrogating her aggressively, In-ah gives her time to speak honestly. Ji-won eventually admits that her husband works for the Sesan Group and that she is terrified of what will happen to her family if the truth becomes public. Ji-won's husband is also under pressure from the Sesan family. Hyun-young plans to send Jae-yeol and their family abroad once the situation settles down, effectively removing them from the immediate corporate conflict. Ji-won realizes that she has been sacrificed to protect people with far greater power than she has. In-ah promises Ji-won that the Audit Office will protect her identity and expose the truth without destroying her family. Ki-jun is impressed by the way In-ah handles the case. He sees that she is not simply interested in punishing people; she is trying to protect employees who are being manipulated by powerful executives. The following week, Ki-jun presents the audit findings to Haemu's executives. He deliberately refuses to reveal Ji-won's identity because exposing her would only make her another victim of the scandal. Jeon Sung-yeol objects, arguing that the company needs complete information, but Ki-jun stands by In-ah's decision to protect the employee. The meeting is suddenly interrupted when Hyun-young storms into the conference room looking for In-ah. She is furious that PK has been fired and blames In-ah for destroying the situation. During their conversation, she remarks that Jae-yeol appears to be hiding a great deal of pain beneath his calm exterior. Ki-jun asks whether that is why A-jeong developed feelings for him, leaving her surprised that Ki-jun has noticed her complicated emotions. A-jeong then asks Ki-jun what is happening between him and In-ah. Ki-jun realizes that he still does not fully understand In-ah's feelings or the reason she continues pushing him away. Rather than guessing any longer, he decides to ask her directly. When Ki-jun returns to the office, he discovers that In-ah has taken the rest of the day off. He immediately asks for time off as well and drives to her home. There, he sees In-ah getting into Sung-yeol's car. Ki-jun instantly becomes jealous and assumes that the mysterious man from In-ah's past may be Sung-yeol. He follows their car to a hotel and imagines that something romantic is happening between them. Ki-jun repeatedly calls In-ah, but she does not answer. Finally, he enters the hotel intending to confront them, only to discover that the executives are attending a corporate retreat there. The executives emerge from the meeting area and are surprised to see Ki-jun. Embarrassed, he invents an excuse and claims that he came because he had something important to tell In-ah. His colleagues praise his dedication and invite him to stay for lunch. Ki-jun has no choice but to accept. During lunch, Ki-jun sits with In-ah and pretends that his supposedly urgent problem has already been solved. He jokingly suggests that the meal feels like a date. In-ah remains guarded, but she clearly enjoys his company. Ki-jun again asks why she keeps pushing him away. In-ah avoids the question and jokingly claims that she has forgotten why. After lunch, the two walk together along the beach. Ki-jun becomes increasingly playful and begins speaking to In-ah less formally. He flirts with her openly and refuses to let her hide behind their workplace relationship. Eventually, he admits the truth: he likes her, and his feelings have become so strong that he feels as though he is going crazy because of her. In-ah is visibly flustered by the confession. She tries to run away from the conversation, but Ki-jun continues teasing her. For the first time, she cannot maintain her usual cold and intimidating expression. Her embarrassment and blushing reveal that she has feelings for him too, even though she is still afraid of where those feelings could lead. Later, the two stop at an arcade and try to win a plush toy from a claw machine. In-ah repeatedly fails and eventually explains that the machine is essentially designed so that players cannot win easily. She compares the rigged machine to their relationship, telling Ki-jun that no matter how hard they try, the two of them simply cannot work. In-ah also tells Ki-jun that he may be confusing his feelings for her with pity or concern. She refuses to believe that what he feels is genuine love. Ki-jun rejects the idea that she has the right to define his feelings for him. He tells her that he knows what he feels and that she should not decide for him. In-ah returns to the hotel while Ki-jun stays behind at the arcade. Determined to prove that she is wrong about things being impossible, he continues playing the claw machine until he finally wins the plush toy. Back at the hotel, In-ah encounters Jae-yeol. Their past relationship becomes increasingly apparent through the emotional tension between them. Jae-yeol tries to comfort her, but In-ah pulls away. He then grabs her and hugs her despite her resistance. In-ah repeatedly asks him to let go, making it clear that she does not want the embrace. Ki-jun arrives at exactly the right moment and pushes Jae-yeol away from In-ah. He then shows In-ah the plush toy he won after refusing to give up. He uses it as proof that even something that seems impossible can be achieved if someone keeps trying. In-ah can only stare at him, visibly shaken by his sincerity. The episode ends with Ki-jun once again refusing to accept her belief that their relationship is impossible. His confession, jealousy, persistence, and willingness to fight for her have begun breaking down the emotional walls In-ah built around herself.
