📖 Episode Synopsis

My Bias My Boss Episode 6 continues from the emotional business trip, with Nam Da-reum, Kang Ha-gi and Lee Chan caught in an increasingly complicated situation. After Lee Chan arrives and interrupts the conversation between Da-reum and Ha-gi, the two men begin competing for Da-reum's attention in their own very different ways. Ha-gi is embarrassed by Da-reum's misunderstanding about his feelings for Chan, while Lee Chan finds the entire situation amusing. Da-reum, meanwhile, is left wondering about the mysterious woman Ha-gi claims to like. The next morning, Ha-gi reflects on everything he learned during the trip. His time with Master Im has changed his understanding of traditional Korean knotting. At first, he viewed the craft mainly as a potential product for APPELLO, but after personally learning how difficult and meaningful the work is, he realizes that simply manufacturing the knots in a factory would destroy the very value they are trying to preserve. Ha-gi proposes a new idea for APPELLO's K-Wave Project: a traditional knot DIY kit. Instead of mass-producing finished products, customers would receive the materials and instructions needed to experience the craft themselves. The concept would allow APPELLO to introduce traditional culture to a younger audience while respecting the skill and patience required to create each knot. Master Im agrees to consider the proposal, but she makes one condition clear. APPELLO must not turn the traditional craft into a meaningless commercial gimmick. The people who purchase the kit should actually learn about the history, discipline and meaning behind the art. Ha-gi and Da-reum promise that they will make sure the project respects Master Im's wishes. When the time comes to return to Seoul, Da-reum is placed in an awkward position. Both Ha-gi and Lee Chan ask her who she wants to travel back with. Although she has grown increasingly comfortable around Ha-gi, Da-reum ultimately chooses Lee Chan. The decision is understandable to her because Chan has been her longtime idol and first love, but Ha-gi cannot hide his disappointment. On the journey back to Seoul, Lee Chan finally shows Da-reum the diary she gave him years earlier. He explains that the diary meant far more to him than she could have imagined. After D.N.X disbanded, he went through an extremely difficult period and struggled to understand what he should do next. The words written by Da-reum in the diary gave him encouragement when he needed it most. Chan reveals that he even visited several of the places Da-reum had written about in the diary because he wanted to find the mysterious fan who had supported him for so many years. Despite his efforts, he could never locate her. Now that he finally knows that the person he had been searching for is Da-reum, he becomes even more determined to understand the woman behind those old letters and drawings. Back at APPELLO, Ha-gi tries to act as though Da-reum's choice does not bother him. He talks to his close friend Min-woo about the situation, and Min-woo immediately notices that Ha-gi is jealous. Ha-gi worries that Da-reum may have already given up on him, although he still refuses to admit that his feelings for her have become serious. The results of the K-Wave Project are announced, and APPELLO succeeds alongside SE Trading in being selected for the next stage. The company's employees celebrate the achievement, especially because the project had nearly collapsed after their original concept was stolen. Ha-gi gives Da-reum an important responsibility by appointing her as the head of the project, showing how much his opinion of her has changed since he first suspected her of being a spy. Da-reum later meets Lee Chan during a break. Chan no longer wants to keep their relationship at the level of idol and fan. He openly tells her that he wants to date her and asks her to give him a real chance. He wants to know what it would be like to be with the woman who has supported him for nearly twelve years, not simply the fan who admired him from a distance. Da-reum is overwhelmed by the confession. Lee Chan has been her first love for most of her adult life, and turning him down feels almost impossible. When she thinks about all the years she spent admiring him, she realizes that accepting his proposal is something she once dreamed about. After considering his request, she agrees to give their relationship a chance. Ha-gi notices Da-reum and Lee Chan together and interrupts their conversation. He tries to hide his jealousy by turning the situation into a work-related matter, telling Da-reum to return to her duties. He then takes Lee Chan aside and begins teaching him the traditional knot technique for the K-Wave Project. Da-reum's first date with Lee Chan begins like a dream. She finally gets to spend time with the idol she has admired for years, but the reality of dating a celebrity is very different from the fantasy she had imagined. During their outing, Lee Chan's fans recognize him, forcing him to leave Da-reum alone while he deals with the situation. Although Da-reum understands why he has to go, she cannot completely hide her disappointment. She had imagined that dating Lee Chan would make her feel incredibly happy, yet she finds herself spending much of the date waiting for him to return. Instead of feeling like she is finally living her dream, she begins to feel strangely lonely. Their second date creates another problem. Lee Chan takes Da-reum to an expensive restaurant, making her believe that he has planned a special evening for the two of them. However, before they can spend much time together, Chan receives a call from a director and leaves to deal with work. Once again, Da-reum is left alone. The repeated interruptions make Da-reum question what she actually wants from the relationship. She still admires Chan deeply, but she begins realizing that being his girlfriend is very different from being his fan. As a fan, she could love him unconditionally from a distance. As a girlfriend, she wants someone who can actually stay beside her and notice when she is unhappy. Meanwhile, Ha-gi agrees to look after Da-reum's cats while she goes out. He assumes that she has an ordinary appointment, but later discovers that she is actually meeting Lee Chan. When he sees the two together, his jealousy becomes impossible to hide. Once again, Lee Chan is forced to leave Da-reum because of work. She tries to tell him that she is fine, but Ha-gi recognizes immediately that she is lying. Unlike Chan, who accepts her words at face value, Ha-gi understands from her expression that she is hurt. Ha-gi takes Da-reum away from the restaurant and walks with her. He does not pressure her to explain everything immediately. Instead, he quietly stays beside her and listens as she admits that things are not going the way she imagined. She begins comparing the way she feels around Lee Chan with the way she feels around Ha-gi. Da-reum eventually admits that she feels comfortable and happy when she is with her CEO. Around Ha-gi, she does not have to behave like a perfect fan or worry about saying the wrong thing. She can complain, joke, make mistakes and simply be herself. She realizes that this comfort is something she has never experienced in quite the same way with Lee Chan. Ha-gi tells her that she should not date someone who does not know how to value her. His words are meant as advice, but they reveal how deeply he cares about her. Da-reum looks at him differently after hearing this, and for a brief moment the distance between them disappears. As the first snow begins to fall, the emotional tension between Da-reum and Ha-gi reaches its peak. Da-reum is upset and vulnerable, while Ha-gi is trying to comfort her without openly admitting what he feels. Their conversation becomes increasingly personal, and Da-reum begins to realize that the person who makes her feel safest may not be the person she originally came to APPELLO to meet. In the final moments of Episode 6, Da-reum and Ha-gi share a sudden and accidental kiss. Both are completely stunned by what has just happened. Ha-gi freezes, while Da-reum is left unable to process how a simple conversation with her boss turned into such an intimate moment. The accidental kiss changes the dynamic between them completely. Da-reum has spent years believing that Lee Chan was the only person capable of making her heart race, but her reaction to Ha-gi suggests something much more complicated is developing. Ha-gi, meanwhile, can no longer pretend that his feelings are merely concern for an employee. Episode 6 marks the biggest romantic turning point of the drama so far. Lee Chan finally gets the relationship he has been pursuing, but Da-reum discovers that dating her longtime bias does not feel as perfect as she imagined. At the same time, Ha-gi becomes the person who understands her without needing an explanation. With the accidental kiss occurring just as the first snow falls, the love triangle enters a completely new stage.
