Suddenly, a violent explosion tears through the palace. A fire erupts inside the Pyeonjeon, the King's office, trapping Yi-an inside the burning building. Smoke and flames spread rapidly through the chamber as the palace guards struggle to reach him. Hui-ju hears the explosion and immediately runs toward the fire. The palace staff try to stop her, warning that the building is too dangerous. Hui-ju refuses to listen. She has just decided that she will never abandon Yi-an again, and now she sees the flames consuming the place where he is trapped. Without waiting for permission, Hui-ju runs directly into the burning palace to save her husband. Episode 10 ends with Hui-ju entering the flames as the palace burns around her, while Yi-an remains trapped inside. The succession crisis has transformed into a life-or-death emergency, leaving the newly chosen future King and his wife facing their most dangerous moment yet.
